River Grove has the honor of belonging to two separate Chambers each offering their own strengths.

Chamber Of Commerce By OHare Airport
Consist of our neighbors to the north and west Franklin Park & Schiller Park.

Grand Corridor Chamber of Commerce
Our neighbors to the east Elmwood Park and Mont Clare area compromise this chamber.

River Grove American Legion

Meetings are held each month on the 4th Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Legion Hall in River Grove.  Each year the profits from our Card & Bunco Party are used to assist veterans at Hines Hospital. We also visit with the veterans, playing Bingo with them six times a year.

 

River Grove VFW

The VFW meets the second Monday of each month for fellowship, information and charitable concerns. Our meetings are held at the American Legion Hall. Food is served for the members at 6:45 p.m. and the meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.
There also is an active VFW Auxiliary Unit, which meets at the Hall on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. Additional information about the VFW can be obtained by calling the Village Hall 708-453-8000

River Grove Senior Citizens

The River Grove Senior Citizens Club, a non-political, non-sectarian, non-profit organization is open to persons of both sexes who are 55 years young or older. Meetings are held the first and third Mondays of the month at twelve noon in the River Grove American Legion Kathy Bruce Recreation Center. Trips, entertainment, speakers, community service and various luncheons are part of the groups proceedings. Bingo and card games are played after the meeting and light refreshments are served. River Grove Historical Commission

Organization Goals: To preserve the history of River Grove and insure it's being passed to our future Generations. Also to continue the preservation and restoration of the Historical House and Barn.
Meeting Dates: Second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM. Held at the River Grove Library http://www.rivergrovehistory.org

Friends of River Grove History

Friends of River Grove History Organization Goals & Purpose: To raise funds for the Historical House Preservation and conduct tours of the House.
Volunteers: Are always welcome and needed

The Village of River Grove and the River Grove Historical Commission members have been researching and rebuilding the Italianate style two-story home. Once restored, the home will serve as a museum featuring the history of River Grove and life in the second half of the 19th century.
